Embracing Spirituality for this Year 2022 — Gale Tobin
January is finally here. 2021 has finally said its goodbye and 2022 is finally upon us. Everyone is looking forward for this new year to be far better than the last one but that has proven difficult as well.
What everyone got when 2022 came in was another variant of the dreaded COVID 19 virus. The new Omicron virus was so virulent that it is currently spreading to the far reaches of the planet. Everyone is truly bracing as health officials are doing their best to do more research to combat this new threat.
And with everything that’s going on, one may wonder if there truly is someone from up above the heavens who is watching all of this? Or have they already abandoned humanity to fend for itself?
This is a very good question for people who have embraced spirituality. I’ve embraced spirituality for years now and, while things can go tough when it comes to my beliefs, I still am willing to believe that the higher powers that be are still guiding humanity. Of course, we all have that one thing that separates us from animals. We all have the freedom to make decisions and to follow them. But as a person who embraced spirituality, I also believe that my decisions are also affected by my belief in the powers of a higher being guiding everyone to the right path.
So how does one embrace spirituality? Does one have to give up whatever religion they are affiliated with right now? Well, the truth is, you don’t. You just simply need to believe in a higher power, right? Well, it’s a little more than that, to be honest. Almost anyone can simply tell people that they believe in spirituality; the only thing that differentiates the pretenders from those who have truly embraced spirituality is based on how they perceive the world.
A spiritual person sees the world as a venue where they can do good. They are always looking for ways on how to be kind to everyone and to each other. They believe that the spirit of every living being on this planet is sacred and that we will all return to the spiritual world once our journey on this planet ends.
While 2022 might be a rough start for everyone, there is always light at the end of the darkness. Be strong, friend. We will all get through this together!
