First off, I’d like to thank the author of this wonderful article. I really wouldn’t imagine myself writing this article if I didn’t see her post one day while browsing through social media.

Yoga has always been an integral part of my life since August of 2021. In a post where I explained how I feel in love with this unique physical art, I’ve always been fascinated by its simplicity and fluidity. I imagine yogis just bending and contorting their bodies as if they have full control over their muscles, tissues, and bones. It all felt like magic to me when I first started doing yoga. Even until today, the magic didn’t disappear at all.

In fact, my journey in yoga has led me to other discoveries about myself as well. Thanks to the many wonderful benefits of practicing yoga on a daily basis, I realized that my life has changed because of it.

I’ve become more comfortable with myself

Because yoga is not just a physical activity, it’s also important to take care of your body in a mental and spiritual way. Yoga, as its history is written, was founded in India thousands of years ago and was more of a spiritual form of worshipping the Hindu gods through graceful bending and contortions.

Today, every time I do yoga, I feel so comfortable with myself that it always radiates deep in me even when I am finished with my workout!

I sometimes feel like I am communicating with a higher power during yoga

I believe the author has experienced something like this too. Since yoga was developed from an ancient ritual of worshipping India’s ancient religion, every twist and turn of your body feels like an intricate dance to a higher power.

My endurance has greatly improved

Yoga may look like it’s a slow physical activity, but the truth is, it isn’t. It really requires a high degree of concentration and fortitude. So if you’re starting out with yoga, you might feel some slight discomfort at first. But keep at it and you’ll start feeling comfortable while working out continuously.

Finally, I find myself being more positive to others

Because I enjoy working out with a group of people, whenever we all do yoga together, we feel a tight bond envelop each of us while working out together. After the session, there are more discussions with one another; sometimes it’s about how to improve our yoga stances, but most of the time, it’s also about talking about what’s happening with our lives and all.

Because of yoga, I feel so good about myself and I have friends as well. If those rewards are not worth the effort, then I’ll continue to do yoga for improving myself in time.
